Our Conference Venue
The historic Wigman Hotel is AHAM's 2018 member meeting location, Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, 2018. In the early 20th century, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company discovered that cotton extended the life of its tires and bought 16,000 acres of Arizona land for cotton farming. While the Arizona climate is dry and hot, it is perfect for growing cotton. In 1918, the company established the Organization House, the first building on the site, as lodging for ranch suppliers. Soon, it became evident that the ranch would be a great place to spend a winter vacation. On Thanksgiving Day, 1929, The Wigwam officially opened its doors as a guest ranch with enough rooms for 24 guests. The first nine-hole golf course was built in 1930, expanding to 18 holes in 1941. The Organizational House, remains as the cornerstone of The Wigwam’s first substantial building on the land.
The resort features: three championship golf courses-including the Robert Trent Jones Sr.- designed Gold and Patriot Courses; nine tennis courts; three swimming pools including a 25′ dual water slide; a luxury spa and fitness center; and award-winning dining.
The hotel is located 25 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona. All of the AHAM meeting events will be held onsite at this location.
