Steve Leybourn is AHAM's Regulatory/Product Engineer. Steve works on the technical aspects of many government relations activities, including DOE test procedures, technical support documents, and regulatory actions. Steve provides technical appliance product knowledge while assisting and actively participating in government rulemakings and product test procedure development. His duties also include researching and analyzing reports and studies, and communicating the results to the membership. Previously, Steve was an engineer in the problem resolution and product development groups at Carrier, a United Technologies Company, in Indianapolis, IN. Steve earned bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and in Economics from Butler University. During which time, he also played for Butler's Division I Lacrosse Program. Most recently, he is a graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
