Welcome to the meeting registration center for “Sustainability Inc. Principles, Practices and Pathways,” AHAM’s 2008 annual member meeting. This meeting will focus on what sustainability means to your company, your customers and your suppliers. Major retail industry partners from Lowe’s and Wal-Mart will talk about how this emerging, far reaching issue is affecting the market and what this means for product suppliers. In addition, a panel of AHAM members will share experiences on how they have defined sustainability and how it is changing the way they do business.

All four AHAM membership divisions will hold business meetings and participate in sessions to update AHAM’s Strategic Plan. Check the schedule to find out when your division will meet.

You and your family will enjoy the newly renovated Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, a luxurious backdrop for this gathering.  Social and recreational opportunities include Sunday’s golf and tennis tournaments, followed by a poolside luncheon buffet. These activities are a great way to network, meet new friends and catch up with old friends. Don’t miss Sunday evening’s welcome dinner, where the industry’s star athletes will be recognized during a Sports Awards presentation.

Monday’s General Session Breakfast kick starts the day with remarks by AHAM Board Chair Ed McAssey, the State of the Association address by AHAM’s president and keynote remarks from John Kasberger, Senior Vice President and General Merchandizing Manager- Kitchen and Bath for Lowe’s Companies, Inc.  Breakfast is followed by the Sustainability Panel featuring presentations from AHAM members.  Alan Epler, Merchandise Manager of Small Appliances, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. will provide our keynote address at the luncheon.

You will not want to miss Monday evening’s Chairman’s Dinner, where industry leaders are recognized during the annual industry achievement awards presentation. Come find out who will receive the Home Appliance Industry Leadership (HAIL) award! This is a unique opportunity for industry members to gain useful intelligence on important issues, provide further guidance to the AHAM mission, and to network with colleagues. We look forward to seeing you there!
