Ontario Extended Producer Responsibility

The Ontario Provincial Government has issued a regulation that calls for a producer responsibility or product take-back program, similar to the European Union’s WEEE Directive, to be established in the province.  AHAM has been extensively involved with the development of the Ontario industry’s position on the implementation of law as well as through interaction with the Canadian affiliates of AHAM members companies, has been able to ensure that the government understands the impact on the industry.
