On August 19, the Wall Street Journal posted an article on the Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program written by Bob Tita of Dow Jones News Wires.  Since that report was published, AHAM has received numerous calls from media outlets seeking comments on this program.  AHAM has discussed the potential impact this $300 million program may have on the industry, and the savings offered to consumers through the rebates and ongoing utility costs.
