Department of Energy (DOE)

AHAM advocates the views of its member companies to DOE in a number of areas, including energy efficiency standards and rulemakings, the ENERGY STAR program, consumer rebates and any other government programs that impact AHAM members directly. 

Energy issues and appliance standards have been given a heightened level of attention at DOE by President Obama with his recent Memo to Secretary of Energy Steven Chu.
