Celebrating AHAM's 50th Anniversary!

Sunday, April 30

2017 marks AHAM's 50th anniversary. Join us as we celebrate this milestone throughout the meeting but especially on Sunday, April 30th!  This will be our night to take a quick look back to our beginnings and look forward to the next 50 years!  And yours too!  Come dressed as 1967 or 2017!

Entertainment provided by THE REAL GENIUSES, a group comprised of very talented musicians and singers.  You will hear a multitude of songs from the 1967 to 2017 years! 

Appliance Industry CEO Forum

Monday, May 1 - 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

In this forum, member company leaders will share their thoughts on the future opportunities and challenges of the industry. This special occasion of AHAM’s 50th anniversary lends itself to a broad spectrum review of the past and the future.

Federal Policy Lunch

Monday, May 1-12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

Ann Marie Buerkle, Acting Chair, Consumer Product Safety Commission will address the membership and provide thoughts on the direction of the Agency.

Joint Division Membership Meeting

Monday, May 1-3:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

This cross-divisional, facilitated discussion will ask you to gaze into your crystal ball and share your thoughts about critical future trends, challenges and opportunities.  Specific areas of focus will be: Public Policy and Regulatory burden Standards – Both Safety and Performance Data, Insights and Forecasting Member and Stakeholder Engagement Horizon Issues Within each of these areas, we also seek your insights about global impact, industry voice and potential new AHAM offerings. Structured as table-top discussions, with “report-outs” to the full general session --- together, we will chart the future course of the industry. Facilitated by Steve Lane, President of Vertical Leap Consulting.

Congressional Briefings and Member Visits

Tuesday, May 2 — Capitol Hill

AHAM member attendees are invited to participate in this briefing to engage with Congressional leaders and constituent representatives in Congress. The first portion of the event is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Following the Congressional briefing, AHAM members are encouraged to meet with their Congressional representative to discuss priority issues for the industry.  Contact your representative well in advance to make an appointment.  AHAM staff can attend and/or help coordinate your meeting and also provide background material on industry issues.
