CEO & Co-Founder, Suvie


 

Robin Liss is an experienced technology entrepreneur with a passion for enabling consumers with information and technology. She is the CEO and Co-Founder of Suvie, a WiFi-enabled multi-zone countertop combination cooker and refrigerator kitchen robot that turns four individual food components (proteins, vegetables, starches, and sauces) into beautifully cooked, restaurant quality gourmet meals on-demand and controlled with a phone. Prior to Suvie, Ms. Liss was consulting for major media and news brands on strategy and startup investments, and was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Cox Media Group researching new venture opportunities. Ms. Liss is the founder and former CEO of Reviewed.com, a leading consumer technology and home appliance review publication. She led Reviewed.com as a startup and sold it to Gannett / USA TODAY in 2011, and she now serves on the USA TODAY Management Committee.

Under Liss’ leadership, Reviewed.com grew from a single camcorder review website into the Internet’s leading home appliance review resource, with a group of consumer focused review websites and 50 employees. Central to Reviewed.com’s philosophy is a commitment to independent, ethical consumer journalism. Ms. Liss has appeared frequently on CNN’s Reliable Sources to talk about technology journalism ethics, and has been an expert guest on MSNBC, Fox News, CNBC, and numerous local TV stations. She also has been profiled in “CNN Sunday,” The Boston Globe, the Christian Science Monitor, and CBS Sunday Morning.

Ms. Liss graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University, where she studied collaboration between local governments, the private sector, and non-profit organizations. She now teaches New Media, New Politics in the Tufts Political Science Department and serves on the Tuft’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program Advisory Board. Ms. Liss currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
