AHAM commends Commissioner Feldman’s leadership in ending an ill-conceived attack on gas cooking – an affordable and often preferred option used in 40 percent of U.S. homes – and to ensuring consumers can choose appliances that best serve their needs. This decision safeguards consumer choice in cooking appliances. The home appliance industry remains committed to meeting or exceeding safety standards and building codes.
