AHAM Selects Odgers Berndtson to Conduct Search for New CEO

 
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Jan. 28, 2022) 
–  The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) has initiated a search for a successor to Joe McGuire, its president and CEO for the past twenty-three years. Previously, McGuire announced his plan to retire in 2022 once a successor had been approved by the AHAM Board of Directors. The association announced today that it has selected the global recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson to conduct the search, which will be led by Tonya Muse, a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

AHAM is the national trade association of the home appliance manufacturing industry, representing manufacturers of major, portable and floor care home appliances, and suppliers to the industry. AHAM’s membership includes over 150 companies throughout the world. AHAM members employ tens of thousands of people and produce more than 95% of the household appliances that are shipped for sale within the United States and Canada.

In all, the industry drives about $198.14 billion in economic output throughout the U.S. economy and $5.8 billion CAD in output across Canada. AHAM is headquartered in Washington, D.C. with an office in Ottawa, ON. It is the voice of the home appliance industry, providing its members throughout the United States and in Canada with leadership, advocacy and a forum for action. In addition to public policy advocacy, AHAM authors appliance test standards and publishes appliance shipment data for the U.S. and Canada.
